​Communication is a powerful tool, when used correctly.

To work correctly it needs both people to participate and speak honestly and openly.

Where there isn’t full honesty, assumptions occur and where assumptions occur, problems are rarely far behind.

It is not that we are always being intentionally dishonest but sometimes we hold back on the telling the truth because we don’t want to create any hassle for ourselves or others.

However, we often end up causing more of a hassle by our refusal to speak up.

I recently created unnecessary hassle for myself by failing to speak up with full honesty when I faced a problem.
